Probably the best campsite around this part of Alton Lake. Three tent pads. Latrine is well situated for privacy. Great views of the lake from this campsite. The fire grate/kitchen is well protected from the strong breezes emanating from big Alton Lake. Easy water access and canoe landing. Water is shallow with a hard bottom out in front of the campsite making for good swimming spot.
Canoe landing is better than most you will encounter in this neck of the woods.
As you can see we have a relatively smooth and firm lake bed with shin deep clear water. Just a small step up onto terra firma.
The log furniture around the fire pit was in great condition at time of last visit.

A tent pad. Seems to be three good ones at this campsite. They are all back in the woods. You could also pitch a tent near the fire grate, there is room there too.
