Paddling through the channel that leads to an old logging dam. This dam was simply callled Dam No. 2. Water levels were rather low. This is as far as you can go without boulder hopping the rest of the way over to the dam structure.


Dam No 2
The old dam is visible here just right of the center of your view, below the trees. The structure is a rectangular shaped bin that was filled with rock ballast to keep it in place. What you see in the distance is one side of the rectangular log bin. It is easier to reach Dam No. 1. That dam is still partially in place in the east channel extending out of the north end of Little Gabbro Lake.
