This BWCA campsite is just upstream of Bald Eagle Lake along the eastern shoreline of the Isabella River.

The canoe landing is at the bottom of a slope that leads up to the fire grate area. The landing itself is rather rocky. The kitchen area was very nice with good seating arrangements and nice views of this wild river. There are two tent pads. One full of roots that is close to the fire pit and another back in the woods a bit. The tent pad back in the woods was covered with grass because it probably doesn't get used much. This looked to be the better tent pad though. The latrine trail is lined by tall grass and some brush (July 28, 2023).
Rocky canoe landing. Water isn't very deep so that helps.

Fine kitchen area. Nice seating setup.

This is the tent pad near the fire grate. Obviously a bit lumpy because of the tree roots coming from the surrounding cedar trees.
This is the overgrown tent pad back in the woods. Looks flat at least.
The trail to old Number Nine is somewhat overgrown with tall grass. Number Nine is well camoflaged by brush.
