The Portage between (Grassy) Lake and Wanihigan Lake
Portaging Direction: From (Grassy) Lake to Wanihigan Lake
This portage is long, but it's also flat. The length of this portage can vary depending on the water levels in (Grassy) Lake. In extreme drought, you will have to portage all the way from Mulligan Lake to Wanihigan Lake, completing bypassing the paddle through (Grassy) Lake. If that is the case, the portage becomes roughly 300 rods long. (Grassy) Lake isn't the real name for this body of water. It doesn't technically have a name. The real Grassy Lake is about one mile to the west.
Mildly rocky landing on Wanihigan Lake. Good solid lake bottom and shallow water make it easier.

Small heap of boulders at the canoe landing on Wanihigan Lake.
Fairly long portage of 185 rods that can become a nearly one-mile long portage if you are traveling this portage during extremely dry conditions. When it's really dry, (Grassy) Lake for the most part, disappears. The portage path is mostly flat, it's just the length that makes it challenging.
