This campsite is up the long north arm of Lake Two. This is actually the Kawishiwi River. During low water, you will likely have to walk/line a heavily loaded canoe a a few times to make it to this campsite. If the water is running high (like in the spring), there will be a good deal of current in a few spots along this channel and they could be challenging. The stretch of river leading to this campsite is not navigable all the way to Lake One. About 900 feet downstream of the campsite, the river really picks up speed and cascades through a series of several rapids. This is notated on many BWCA maps as "Dangerous Waters".

Low water conditions exposes this massive fine gravel canoe landing. The water here is shallow, but the bottom has about three inches of silt. To the right is downstream.

If you are looking for a secluded campsite on Lake Two, this one fits the bill. Strictly speaking, this campsite is on the Kawishiwi River. It is well off the beaten path as it is 2/3rds of a mile north of where the river leaves Lake Two. Campsite is not large, but nice enough. There is one large tent pad (sort of two tent pads that have bled together).
